Chrissy LoConti has traveled a unique road of business experiences in her 28 years. She has owned and operated an art gallery while attending Columbus College of Art and Design. Shortly after finishing her degree in fine arts from Kent State University, Chrissy along with her sisters constructed, owned, and operated Sinergy Night Club in Cleveland, Ohio. Being surrounded by an entrepreneurial family, naturally she was inspired by her grandfather and father, who are both exceptional businessmen, to take these opportunities to generate something exciting.
Several years later, she found herself creatively motivated by the sexual tension of the man/woman “meet dance” that occurred at the club. She sold the club to pursue her genuine artistic calling – and Dirty Pretty Things was born. As President and CEO, along with her sisters Annemarie (CFO) and Jeannine, she recruited fellow graduate from Kent State; Vice President of Design Sarah Piscazzi.
Sarah came to Dirty Pretty Things with five years of experience in designing and bench working in high-end jewelry. Over the next year they co-created the first jewelry line ‘The Marie Neville Collection’ for DPT.
With a need to organize, manufacture sales, and form distribution of the DPT jewelry- Chrissy convinced childhood friend Andrea Ippolito to join the DPT empire and become the Chief Operating Officer and National Sales Manager. Andrea’s corporate retail experience includes merchandising at Guess Jeans Inc, and sales and product management at Fox Racing Inc.
Together these young women have tapped into the collective consciousness to bring out a fresh, stimulating, female empowering, straight-forward, in your face fashion statement.
